Alex’s Story

I was born on July 9, 1990, in the city of Tiraspol, Moldova. I grew up in the Odessa region in the village of Klyuchenova. There, I finished school and went on to study at a pedagogical college. After completing college, I started working in a school. After some time, I joined the army. I signed a 3-year contract with the border troops and served there.

When the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia began, I went to war as a volunteer to defend my homeland. During a counteroffensive in the Kherson region, I was injured in a blast. My second battle started that day, to get help for myself.

After getting injured, I was in various medical institutions  and am currently at the rehabilitation complex “Agape Ukraine”. The complex has a good staff, professional care, and the physiotherapists and occupational therapists are very professional and high-level experts. I have learned a lot of interesting and new things to help myself. In the rehabilitation center, there is a good attitude towards people with injuries like mine. Also, the food is tasty, and there’s a beautiful area where one can walk.

Overall, it’s an amazing complex. I really like the family atmosphere, accessibility for wheelchairs everywhere, and faith in God. I want to sincerely thank the Agape center for their warm attitude and atmosphere. Thank you!
